Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Guadalupe's Jairo Duarte started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilson Pinho in the 3rd minute of play forced Guadalupe's goalkeeper Romeu Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nilson Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Paiva having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Nicolas Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itapira's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Quirino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeu Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Paulo Pitta's late challenge caught a Itapira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Paulo Pitta helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Guadalupe fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! Guadalupe:s Romeu Paiva showed great skill when he stopped Allan Reis:s penalty. 14 minutes into the match, Allan Reis notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Guadalupe's Romeu Paiva. Romeu Paiva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jairo Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Itapira's Gualter Cordeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Itapira from getting a goal against them. In the 19th match minute, Itapira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão Fantini to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Guadalupe booed when Itapira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilian Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Luís Paulo Pitta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gualter Cordeiro skillfully saved the ball. Gualter Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiaguinho Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Guadalupe's Tiaguinho Moreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gualter Cordeiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romeu Paiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicolas Quirino went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Nilson Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Romeu Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Jairo Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. A wasted opportunity for Guadalupe. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nilson Pinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Itapira booed when Guadalupe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egídio Maciel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Allan Reis in the 58th minute really tested Romeu Paiva's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Gualter Cordeiro came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Guadalupe's Tiaguinho Moreira. But to his dismay, Tiaguinho Moreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 66th minute Luís Paulo Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualter Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolas Quirino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Romeu Paiva made a huge save. Nilson Pinho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Romeu Paiva came out and tried to block the shot, but Nilson Pinho slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 76th minute. When Valdomiro Tande fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itapira's protests and gave Valdomiro Tande a yellow card for diving instead. Valdomiro Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Egídio Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. When Itapira's Nilson Pinho in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guadalupe's goalie prevented a goal. Nicolas Quirino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeu Paiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Guadalupe's Egídio Botelho got a free kick in the 90th minute. Itapira's Nilson Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the game, Nilson Pinho lined in a short shot 2-4 behind a frustrated Romeu Paiva. The Guadalupe supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Itapira's performance. The match ended with a win for Itapira.
