The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Savanduva AD's Wágner de Almeida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lenílson Veloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 6th minute Erivaldo Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erivaldo Coelho struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Claudinho Silveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Roncadon. Luiz Eduardo Matos might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lenílson Veloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Eduardo Matos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 12th match minute, Roncadon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rômulo Urbano to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Eduardo Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Lenílson Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wágner de Almeida in the 18th minute of play forced Roncadon's goalkeeper Lenílson Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luiz Eduardo Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Luiz Eduardo Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Savanduva AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Eduardo Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lenílson Veloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luiz Eduardo Matos might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lenílson Veloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Eduardo Matos ran back to his position shaking his head. Bruninho Arantes scored 1-1 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudinho Silveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruninho Arantes to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Eduardo Matos in the 55th minute of play forced Roncadon's goalkeeper Lenílson Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Savanduva AD's goalkeeper Claudinho Silveira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erivaldo Coelho. Wágner de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruninho Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Silveira having to interfere. In the 84th minute Bruninho Arantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guga Félix hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the match, Savanduva AD's goal looked a bit too open when Bruninho Arantes came free, but Claudinho Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Erivaldo Coelho came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Roncadon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erivaldo Coelho couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Savanduva AD's Claudinho Silveira got control of the ball when Erivaldo Coelho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Claudinho Silveira acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 98th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Edmundo Tande.
