In the 5th minute, one of Pontina EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pontina EC. Charles Ortiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Germano Queiroz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodriguinho Dante. Pontina EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Germano Queiroz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Charles Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguinho Dante having to interfere. Sidney Soares charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sidney Soares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute, Sidney Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes in the game, Charles Ortiz fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rodriguinho Dante having to interfere. Charles Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Germano Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Marcinho de Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After 56 minutes of play, Margaride's Germano Queiroz made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodriguinho Dante was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Germano Queiroz in the 60th minute of play forced Pontina EC's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Dante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celsinho Cruz charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celsinho Cruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 62 minutes, Germano Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Margaride's supporters crossed their fingers, but Germano Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frederico Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Douglas Lopez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frederico Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. If Celsinho Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pontina EC's Rodriguinho Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Ortiz in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute Germano Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Margaride's Sidney Soares got his second yellow card of the match in the 78th minute. The referee ordered Sidney Soares off the ground. Sidney Soares hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Charles Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute Germano Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Marcinho Bertassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germano Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Rodriguinho Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Tiaguinho Recife suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Marcinho Bertassi charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcinho Bertassi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 95 minutes into the game, Hamílton Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Margaride's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pontina EC the free kick. Pontina EC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
