Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ricardinho Sabóia started the match with the kick off. If Mané Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute Mazinho Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cícero Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmundo Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Geovanni Leme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute Ricardinho Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovanni Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th play minute Edmundo Tinoco came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Geovanni Leme. 1-0. Mazinho Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Nascimento having to interfere. Geovanni Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Sabóia in the 42nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricardinho Sabóia in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovanni Leme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 47th minute, Edmundo Tinoco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mazinho Guimarães to strike the kick off in the second half. Abunai's Edmundo Tinoco got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cícero Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Mané Vieira sent off a good shot on target. Cícero Nascimento was a little too slow when Mané Vieira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 1-1. Ricardinho Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Geovanni Leme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Abunai's Ricardinho Sabóia in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Quaticaba's goalie prevented a goal. Mazinho Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. When Sandro Arruda came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Quaticaba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandro Arruda couldn't finish the play. Cícero Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazinho Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Geovanni Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Tinoco in the 76th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mazinho Guimarães in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cícero Nascimento saved Abunai from getting behind. Ricardinho Sabóia struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Geovanni Leme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abunai. In the 87th minute, Edmundo Tinoco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Abunai fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Edmundo Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abunai's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Tinoco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geovanni Leme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edmundo Tinoco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geovanni Leme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th match minute, Quaticaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlinhos Guedes to maneuver through the defense. Kléberson Chaves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Geovanni Leme. Quaticaba's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
