Baltazar Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertino Romero in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho das Neves in the 21st minute of play forced Nhunguacu's goalkeeper Baltazar Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Albertino Romero made a precise shot to the right of Baltazar Sá. Nhunguacu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Baltazar Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertino Romero in the 25th minute of the match. After 29 minutes, Eduardo Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nhunguacu and the Farpao players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baltazar Sá showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Albertino Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafa Mangueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Caco Arruda made a huge save. Baltazar Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertino Romero in the 41st minute of the match. Caco Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeca Carvalho in the 42nd minute of play. Caco Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeca Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 53 played minutes, Nhunguacu's Abel Cabral shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Caco Arruda came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nhunguacu reached it. In the 54th minute of the match Abel Cabral sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Caco Arruda skillfully saved the ball. In the 57th match minute, Farpao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaltino Urbano to maneuver through the defense. If Zeca Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Farpao's zone, Rafa Mangueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caco Arruda came out of the goal and Rafa Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 64 minutes, Naldo Campidelis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Farpao and the Nhunguacu players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Farpao's Naldo Campidelis got a free kick in the 64th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Farpao's goal looked a bit too open when Zeca Carvalho came free, but Caco Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafa Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Caco Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonsinho das Neves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baltazar Sá read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Digo Moura struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Baltazar Sá didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Farpao. In the 97th minute, one of Farpao:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Farpao. Farpao:s Caco Arruda showed great skill when he stopped Abel Cabral:s penalty. The Farpao players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
