Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rubens Ribeiro got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubens Ribeiro in the 4th minute of play forced Farpao's goalkeeper Caco Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bitencourt SS's Cícero Alagoano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertino Romero in the 6th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Edvaldo Fernandes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bitencourt SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Farpao the free kick. The supporters of Farpao booed when Bitencourt SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvaldo Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albertino Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Alagoano having to interfere. Afonsinho das Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 20 minutes, Flavinho Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bitencourt SS and the Farpao players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Albertino Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Farpao's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertino Romero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cícero Alagoano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bitencourt SS's goalkeeper Cícero Alagoano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Caco Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubens Ribeiro in the 25th minute of play. When Cléber Rezende fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Farpao's protests and gave Cléber Rezende a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Farpao's Cléber Rezende got a free kick in the 25th minute. Rubens Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Caco Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duda Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 29 minutes of play Farpao's Cléber Rezende was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 29th match minute, Farpao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléber Rezende to maneuver through the defense. Bitencourt SS's Cícero Alagoano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonsinho das Neves in the 33rd minute of play. Cícero Alagoano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Alvarenga in the 35th minute of play. If Afonsinho das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afonsinho das Neves made a kick off. Luisinho da Silva hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Duda Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bitencourt SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Duda Moraes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caco Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raphael Alvarenga hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Duda Moraes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caco Arruda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Digo Moura's late challenge caught a Bitencourt SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Digo Moura helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th match minute, Farpao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Digo Moura to maneuver through the defense. If Rubens Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 minutes of play, Bitencourt SS's Duda Moraes made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caco Arruda was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Digo Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 91 played minutes Farpao got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho da Silva. If Afonsinho das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Farpao's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
