Crubixa EC's Perivaldo de Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Crubixa EC from getting a goal against them. Edmundo Vergílio charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmundo Vergílio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedito Carvalho in the 38th minute of play forced Chagas SS's goalkeeper Horácio Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Edmundo Vergílio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Horácio Pernambucano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Vergílio's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Crubixa EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chagas SS the free kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Crubixa EC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chagas SS.
