Bebeto Schmidt made a great header on Pimento SC's corner, it was just that Tucumduba FC's Natanael Guimarães managed to reach the ball for a save. Cássio Passos charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cássio Passos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Tucumduba FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pimento SC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Natanael Guimarães, was totally fooled by Pimento SC's Rubinho de Senna, who 38 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Natanael Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléberson Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. If Ademar Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ademar Queirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cícero Magalhães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

Pimento SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Barral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Osvaldo Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Pimento SC's Cícero Magalhães got control of the ball when Osvaldo Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Natanael Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléberson Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Pimento SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tucumduba FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Tucumduba FC.
