Jucurucu's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Celsinho Moreno 27 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. Celsinho Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celsinho Moreno made a kick off. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Celsinho Varela. Délio Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmílson Nunes having to interfere. Apajatuba were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Jucurucu for a fine match.
