The referee ignored Ferrao FC's protests and gave Alfredão Vianna a yellow card for diving instead. Vicente Quintal charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Ferrao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hílton Oliveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Terrenos's Fabrício Pitta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albertino dos Santos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 46thth minute of the game Fabrício Pitta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ferrao FC's Albertino dos Santos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
