Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Walmyr Tróia got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Diego Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elói das Neves having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Hugo Novaes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Diego Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piraja's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elói das Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adriano Figueiredo might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elói das Neves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adriano Figueiredo ran back to his position shaking his head. Diego Machado struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Elói das Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piraja. In the 43rd match minute, Degredo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernão Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Piraja's zone, Walmyr Tróia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Vítor Moura came out of the goal and Walmyr Tróia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Diego Machado made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Walmyr Tróia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Vítor Moura. Piraja's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walmyr Tróia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. João Vítor Moura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Carlos Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erivaldo Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. If Walmyr Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Diego Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walmyr Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adriano Figueiredo scored 3-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elói das Neves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
