With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardinho Souto in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Melo saved Mucurepe EC from getting behind. Soinho SS's Horácio Moreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Soinho SS from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the match, Júnior Mineiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Horácio Moreira, 2-0. After 24 played minutes Soinho SS got a freekick which was hit by Gildo Tavares. If Jonathan Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Júnior Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horácio Moreira having to interfere. After 45 minutes, Pedrinho Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Soinho SS and the Mucurepe EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Soinho SS getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Pedrinho Moreira hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Júnior Mineiro made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardinho Souto in the 58th minute of play forced Mucurepe EC's goalkeeper Tomás Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mucurepe EC's Júnior Mineiro got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 62 played minutes Soinho SS got a freekick which was hit by Faustão Linares. 64 minutes into the game, Gildo Tavares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soinho SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mucurepe EC the free kick. In the 64th minute, Gildo Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horácio Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Mineiro in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Soinho SS's Gildo Tavares got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute Anselmo Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horácio Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mucurepe EC's Tomás Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardinho Souto in the 82nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Cerezo got free with Tomás Melo in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute, Júnior Mineiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mucurepe EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 91 minutes into the game, Bernardinho Souto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Tomás Melo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
