Mineira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capim SC the free kick. In the 8th match minute, Mineira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Valle to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Capim SC booed when Mineira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Guilherme Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute Chicão de Godoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdomiro Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes in the game, Chicão de Godoy dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Christiano Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chicão de Godoy in the 27th minute of play forced Capim SC's goalkeeper Valdomiro Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In spite of Valdomiro Antunes awareness of the shot he didn't succeed to stop the ball, and watched as it rolled inside the left pole. 1-0. Valdomiro Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chicão de Godoy in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Amadeu Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Capim SC's Christiano Neves in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christiano Neves in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal.
