Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Edvaldo Nascimento got the match started through his kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edvaldo Nascimento in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Fonseca saved Balanca from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Norberto Abreu in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agostinho Vinhas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27th match minute, Balanca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Augusto Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Balanca's Cristiano Gerber got a free kick in the 29th minute. Joaquim Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Balanca's Alfredo Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvaldo Nascimento in the 41st minute of play. Alfredo Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquim Castro in the 44th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cléberson Quirino made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Vargedo SC's goalkeeper Agostinho Vinhas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cléberson Quirino. After a rather tough play, Vargedo SC's Dudu Marquez got a free kick in the 59th minute. Douglas Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Balanca getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Norberto Abreu hit a great ball. Igor Vergílio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 77th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
