Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Tinguizeiro's Osvaldo Sá started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chicão de Brito in the 4th minute of play forced Vazantinho's goalkeeper Fabrício Passos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Décio Botelho came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Vazantinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Décio Botelho couldn't finish the play. If Décio Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerson Souto took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Víktor Paiva. Víktor Paiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After 22 minutes, Chicão de Brito made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Vazantinho's Fabrício Passos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 24th minute Tadeu Alves suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 24 minutes into the game, Fabiano Ramalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tinguizeiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vazantinho the free kick. After a rather tough play, Tinguizeiro's Fabiano Ramalho got a free kick in the 25th minute. Víktor Paiva was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Erik Terra. Adelino de Queirós hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Gerson Souto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Víktor Paiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Gerson Souto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Víktor Paiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. If Osvaldo Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Víktor Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerson Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Fabrício Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Sá in the 66th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Chicão de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tinguizeiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Chicão de Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabrício Passos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st minute, Cléberson Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chicão de Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Fabrício Passos made a huge save. Vazantinho's Fabrício Passos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Sá in the 78th minute of play. Gerson Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Vazantinho booed when Tinguizeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Víktor Paiva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gerson Souto's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Ulisses Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Paiva having to interfere. If Décio Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
