Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the game, Davi de Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vazantinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saboia the free kick. In the 4th minute of the match Guilherme Secco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabrício Passos skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vazantinho's zone, Mané Sabóia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabrício Passos came out of the goal and Mané Sabóia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Saboia's goalkeeper César do Vale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Saboia's César do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerson Souto in the 13th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Yuri Toledo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ulisses Vasconcelos hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duda Aguiar during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Saboia's Duda Aguiar got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 31st match minute, Saboia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovânio Maranhense to maneuver through the defense. Gerson Souto scored 0-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of César do Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Décio Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute of the match Virgílio Vieira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but César do Vale showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Saboia's Duda Aguiar got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Décio Botelho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Vazantinho booed when Saboia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovânio Maranhense didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Yuri Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saboia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yuri Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Mané Sabóia came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Saboia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mané Sabóia couldn't finish the play. In the 61st match minute, Vazantinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the game, Saboia's Yuri Toledo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabrício Passos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Tadeu Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 75th minute Mané Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrício Passos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. César do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Décio Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Yuri Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrício Passos having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
