Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Oséas Alagoano took the kick off in the first half of the match. Víktor Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséas Alagoano in the 13th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tinguizeiro's zone, Jonas Tasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Víktor Paiva came out of the goal and Jonas Tasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th match minute, Tinguizeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius Cosme to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Tinguizeiro defense, Jonas Tasso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Víktor Paiva. The Tinguizeiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Víktor Paiva should have stopped the shot. Chicão de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alexandre Sabóia hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Régis Maranhense sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Taquaral's Júlio Magalhães didn't even have to move. After 30 played minutes Tinguizeiro got a freekick which was hit by Régis Maranhense. When Ernani Vidal fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tinguizeiro's protests and gave Ernani Vidal a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tinguizeiro getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ernani Vidal hit a great ball. Chicão de Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Júlio Magalhães made a huge save. Oséas Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Víktor Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taquaral's Oséas Alagoano got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Jonas Tasso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Víktor Paiva. Tinguizeiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Tasso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After the first half Taquaral were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Osvaldo Sá to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonas Tasso struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Víktor Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taquaral. Osvaldo Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Magalhães having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Taquaral got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson Tinoco. Oséas Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Víktor Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júlio Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 92 minutes into the match, Taquaral's Oséas Alagoano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Víktor Paiva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Oséas Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taquaral's Júlio Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Sá in the 96th minute of play. When the match was over Taquaral could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tinguizeiro throughout the match.
