Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Guto Motta was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 7th minute. Catingueiro's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Catingueiro's Marquinhos Coelho got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Orizania SS's Ramón Koehler got a free kick in the 9th minute. Toninho de Godoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guto Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Orizania SS's Flavinho Pimenta in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Catingueiro's goalie prevented a goal. 15 minutes into the match, Orizania SS's Tadeu Arósio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodoro Damião narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Flavinho Pimenta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teodoro Damião was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Dadá Braga fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orizania SS's protests and gave Dadá Braga a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, Orizania SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dadá Braga to maneuver through the defense. Toninho de Godoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guto Motta in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to Orizania SS getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Celsinho Veiga hit a great ball. Tadeu Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Teodoro Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Guto Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catingueiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Guto Motta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toninho de Godoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Válbson Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Catingueiro booed when Orizania SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celsinho Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Flavinho Pimenta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Flavinho Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Tadeu Arósio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Catingueiro getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Nilton do Vale hit a great ball. Tadeu Arósio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Toninho de Godoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Coelho in the 60th minute of play. After 62 minutes of play, Orizania SS's Tadeu Arósio made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodoro Damião was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nilton do Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho de Godoy having to interfere. If Marquinhos Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orizania SS's Tadeu Arósio got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Flavinho Pimenta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodoro Damião read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Guto Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho de Godoy having to interfere. Catingueiro's Marquinhos Coelho got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Orizania SS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
