Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Quixeramobim's Flavinho Maia started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sidnei Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umberto Alcântara in the 3rd minute of play. Perivaldo Ortiz struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Sidnei Magalhães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Urucuriteua SS. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Perivaldo Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Urucuriteua SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Perivaldo Ortiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sidnei Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luiz Paulo Prata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Carlos Félix having to interfere. Umberto Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Magalhães having to interfere. When Flavinho Maia got free in front of the goal in the 30th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. José Carlos Félix was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After having played for 39 minutes, Luiz Paulo Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quixeramobim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Paulo Prata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st of the match, Flavinho Maia tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but José Carlos Félix got in the way and made a wonderful save. José Carlos Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavinho Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Perivaldo Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Sidnei Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Perivaldo Ortiz made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Quixeramobim's Miguel Mumbach got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 58 minutes into the match, Flavinho Maia notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Urucuriteua SS's José Carlos Félix. José Carlos Félix was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Umberto Alcântara took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sidnei Magalhães. Sidnei Magalhães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 67th minute, Perivaldo Ortiz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sidnei Magalhães. The goal made the score 1-2. José Carlos Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Paulo Prata in the 71st minute of the match. Luiz Paulo Prata might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Carlos Félix. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Paulo Prata ran back to his position shaking his head. Flavinho Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. José Carlos Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Flavinho Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Carlos Félix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Urucuriteua SS's José Carlos Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Paulo Prata in the 90th minute of play. Sidnei Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo Ortiz in the 92nd minute of the match. Quixeramobim's Luiz Paulo Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Perivaldo Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Magalhães having to interfere. Perivaldo Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Sidnei Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Urucuriteua SS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Urucuriteua SS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
