Zézinho Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Dias having to interfere. Mário Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Gaúcho in the 11th minute of play. If Fiori Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fred Gaúcho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Mutambeira FC's Fred Gaúcho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mário Matos. Mário Matos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Fred Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mutambeira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Gaúcho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mário Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 65 minutes into the match, Rodellas SS's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Gaúcho came free, but Mário Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 69 minutes, Fiori Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mutambeira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fiori Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dida Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zézinho Pitta, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute, Ernesto Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dida Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho Pitta in the 80th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Fiori Cunha notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Rodellas SS's Mário Matos. Mário Matos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Belmiro Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mutambeira FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
