Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Cido Mineiro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Danilo Baptista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dedê Meireles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Diogo Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Mesqueira AD's goalkeeper Dedê Meireles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danilo Baptista. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tairucu FC's goalkeeper Caetano Dante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Márcio Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Dedê Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dedê Meireles was a little too slow when Márcio Cavalcante got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Mesqueira AD's zone, Danilo Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dedê Meireles came out of the goal and Danilo Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Márcio Cavalcante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kléberson Zanette hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Cido Mineiro took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Caetano Dante. Caetano Dante dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Elivélton da Silva hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Cido Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Diogo Batista was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 44 minutes had been played. A collision led to Tairucu FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Diogo Batista hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Cido Mineiro made a precise shot to the right of Caetano Dante. Tairucu FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The Tairucu FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mesqueira AD were winning 1-2.

In the 55th minute of the match Tairucu FC got a corner. Mesqueira AD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Francisco Arruda ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Francisco Arruda almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mesqueira AD's Dedê Meireles did a great save. In the 59th match minute, Mesqueira AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldir Bueno to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the match, Tairucu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cido Mineiro came free, but Caetano Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Mesqueira AD's Waldir Bueno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caetano Dante narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolas Loureiro during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Mesqueira AD getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Nicolas Loureiro hit a great ball. Waldir Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Caetano Dante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waldir Bueno in the 95th minute. With a little luck, Tairucu FC's Caetano Dante got control of the ball when Waldir Bueno tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Mesqueira AD supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mesqueira AD would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
