Meios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hílton Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arthur Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elivélton de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hílton Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Arce having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Sabino Lucas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Sabino Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wiliam Sarmento hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the game, Francisco Linares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arthur Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elivélton de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Meios's goalkeeper Diego Baiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 78th minute Elivélton de Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lúcio Cunha during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Meios booed when Barranquinho SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lúcio Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball.
