Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Geovanni Loureiro kicked off to start the match. Marcos Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Severo in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Sucuru booed when Caxanga SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Augusto Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Seco in the 9th minute of play. After 12 minutes, Renato Braga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caxanga SS and the Sucuru players grew even worse after the yellow card. Caxanga SS's Amauri Cearense shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 18th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Alfredo Meireles but with some difficulty. In the 21st minute Adolfo Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Meireles made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Carlos Augusto Cardozo sent off a good shot on target. Geovanni Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Meireles having to interfere. With a little luck, Sucuru's Alfredo Meireles got control of the ball when Carlos Augusto Cardozo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Geovanni Loureiro struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Alfredo Meireles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caxanga SS. The supporters of Sucuru booed when Caxanga SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléber Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Basílio Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Adolfo Severo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Sucuru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Severo couldn't finish the play. Basílio Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolfo Severo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Barreto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adolfo Severo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sucuru's Alfredo Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Loureiro in the 56th minute of play. Sucuru's Basílio Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Basílio Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Barreto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 76 minutes, Geovanni Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caxanga SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovanni Loureiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Augusto Cardozo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geovanni Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Alfredo Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Geovanni Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caxanga SS's Marcos Barreto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Caxanga SS from getting a goal against them. 97 minutes into the match, Caxanga SS's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Severo came free, but Marcos Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
