Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alfredão Velloso made the kick off which started today's match. Valdir de Medeiros had several of the Abadia FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 8 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Luiz Paulo Ramos as he didn't even see the shot coming. 11 minutes into the match, Abadia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dênis Félix came free, but Luiz Paulo Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Leandro Mello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dênis Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Paulo Ramos having to interfere. Luiz Paulo Ramos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dênis Félix went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Ernani Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredão Velloso in the 24th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdir de Medeiros during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abadia FC's Cacá Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Abadia FC's Alfredão Velloso in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pequi's goalie prevented a goal. Ernani Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredão Velloso in the 36th minute of the match. If Leandro Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Alfredão Velloso made a precise shot to the right of Ernani Castro. Pequi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leandro Mello was the one to do the kick off. Pequi's Dênis Félix got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Nando de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernani Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredão Velloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abadia FC's Cacá Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Pequi's Ernani Castro got control of the ball when Alfredão Velloso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cacá Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 82 played minutes Abadia FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlinhos Arantes. Leandro Mello took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Paulo Ramos. Luiz Paulo Ramos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Ernani Castro made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Cacá Lopes sent off a good shot on target. Pequi's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
