The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Paulo Meireles got free with José Carlos Jacinto in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8thth minute of the game Laércio Martins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avantiguara EC's José Carlos Jacinto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Avantiguara EC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Paulo Meireles came free, but José Carlos Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
