The supporters of Cayambe booed when Ilhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fernando Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Cayambe's goalkeeper Almir Cosme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcel Zilles. After a defensive mix-up in Ilhas's zone, Celso Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathias Pirani came out of the goal and Celso Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mathias Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doni Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When Doni Trigo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 35 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Mathias Pirani was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Tostão Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celso Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Cayambe getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Cauan Hoffmann hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Fernando Pernambucano to strike the kick off in the second half. If Marcel Zilles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Zilles in the 56th minute of play forced Cayambe's goalkeeper Almir Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doni Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Cayambe booed when Ilhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitinho Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcel Zilles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almir Cosme having to interfere. Almir Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fernando Pernambucano in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fernando Pernambucano in the 84th minute of play forced Cayambe's goalkeeper Almir Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doni Trigos short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Mathias Pirani to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 88 minutes, Arnaldo Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cayambe and the Ilhas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cayambe's Arnaldo Castro got a free kick in the 88th minute. Almir Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Zilles in the 90th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
