Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 7 minutes into the match, Quatis's Nico Gonçalves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josué Netto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 12 minutes into the game, Nico Gonçalves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quatis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alfenas SS the free kick. After a rather tough play, Quatis's Nico Gonçalves got a free kick in the 12th minute. Quatis's Falcão Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmo Corrêa in the 16th minute of play. Dalmo Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Josué Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico Gonçalves in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Nico Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicolas Duarte in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josué Netto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Alfenas SS booed when Quatis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Paulo Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Falcão Cordeiro came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Alfenas SS's Carlos Augusto Paraíba. But to his dismay, Carlos Augusto Paraíba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Falcão Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmo Corrêa in the 34th minute of play. If Carlos Augusto Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 minutes Alfenas SS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Róbson Loyola who took care of the corner kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Américo Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Carlos Augusto Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Duarte took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Josué Netto. Josué Netto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 60th minute Carlos Augusto Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Alfenas SS's goal looked a bit too open when Nico Gonçalves came free, but Josué Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nicolas Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Waldemar Arósio hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. If Nicolas Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Zé Paulo Meirelles fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quatis's protests and gave Zé Paulo Meirelles a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st match minute, Quatis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Paulo Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. Alfenas SS's Carlos Augusto Paraíba got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Augusto Paraíba scored 2-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Falcão Cordeiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Nico Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quatis's supporters rose to their feet, but Nico Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josué Netto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Alfenas SS's zone, Nicolas Duarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josué Netto came out of the goal and Nicolas Duarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute, Róbson Loyola sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Alfenas SS's Josué Netto didn't even have to move. Alfenas SS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Quatis for a fine match.
