Abelardo Vale went to the wrong direction when Celso do Nascimento was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Zacarias Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Andrézinho Cearense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Abelardo Vale made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Zacarias Vale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abelardo Vale was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. With a little luck, Caratateua's Abelardo Vale got control of the ball when Andrézinho Cearense tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Zé Augusto Arruda fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caratateua's protests and gave Zé Augusto Arruda a yellow card for diving instead. After 48 played minutes Caratateua got a freekick which was hit by Zé Augusto Arruda.

The excitement rose when Beneficente AD's Celso do Nascimento after 76 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Caratateua's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 4-1. Beneficente AD's Acácio Ferreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Beneficente AD from getting a goal against them. Zacarias Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
