Ricardo Cosme's late challenge caught a Jaragua FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Cosme helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Jaragua FC. Válter Bittencourt stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Paulo Carioca. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Válter Bittencourt during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Perises SC booed when Jaragua FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Amílton da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaragua FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amílton da Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Carioca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 18 minutes into the match, Jaragua FC's Válter Bittencourt broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Amílton da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Carioca having to interfere. Amílton da Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Paulo Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elói Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Jaragua FC's Amílton da Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kauã Figueiredo's late challenge caught a Perises SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kauã Figueiredo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Jaragua FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Kauã Figueiredo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amílton da Cunha in the 36th minute of play forced Perises SC's goalkeeper Paulo Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrézinho Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, one of Jaragua FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jaragua FC. Jaragua FC:s Cafu França showed great skill when he stopped Ricardo Cosme:s penalty. In the 47th minute Amílton da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amílton da Cunha was the one to do the kick off. When Tostão Borges came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Perises SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tostão Borges couldn't finish the play. When Perises SC's Tostão Borges in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jaragua FC's goalie prevented a goal. Tibúrcio Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Cafu França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Jaragua FC's zone, Tibúrcio Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cafu França came out of the goal and Tibúrcio Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tostão Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu França having to interfere. Tostão Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Cafu França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 81 minutes, Elói Nogueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perises SC and the Jaragua FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, Perises SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Lara to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute, Andrézinho Peixoto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Carioca was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When the final whistle sounded Jaragua FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Perises SC.
