Bebeto Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Gaúcho hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Zeca Travassos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bebeto Martins in the 30th minute of the match. Auler FC's Ronaldo Montenegro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Auler FC from getting a goal against them. 35 minutes into the match, Filipe Pontes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ronaldo Montenegro, 1-0. After 41 played minutes Gurjao SC got a freekick which was hit by Luizão Jacinto. Diamantino Favoretto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zeca Travassos having to make a save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bebeto Martins to make the kick off. When Henrique Bertassi fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Auler FC's protests and gave Henrique Bertassi a yellow card for diving instead. Henrique Bertassi hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filipe Pontes in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronaldo Montenegro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61st minute, Afonso Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Auler FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Juninho Paraibano hit a great ball. Ronaldo Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizão Jacinto in the 67th minute of the match. Filipe Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 75 minutes of play Auler FC's Henrique Bertassi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 76th match minute, Auler FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrique Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. Luizão Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldo Montenegro having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Auler FC's Bebeto Martins got a free kick in the 79th minute. Ronaldo Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizão Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. A collision led to Auler FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Tostão Queiroz hit a great ball. If Filipe Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizão Jacinto in the 83rd minute of play forced Auler FC's goalkeeper Ronaldo Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filipe Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ronaldo Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronaldo Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tarcisio Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
