Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Leonardo Tepedino got the match started through his kick off. Albertino Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Lara in the 4th minute of the match. Joaquim Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Renatinho Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernesto Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Pontal's Renatinho Paraibano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Pontal from getting a goal against them. When Alberto Cosme came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Pontal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Cosme couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giovani Pitta during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 15 played minutes Emboracica AD got a freekick which was hit by Giovani Pitta. Osmar Perez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Albertino Costa. Emboracica AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the Emboracica AD defense, Beto Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albertino Costa. The Emboracica AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albertino Costa should have stopped the shot. Renatinho Paraibano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonardo Tepedino's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After 27 played minutes Pontal got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Figueiredo. The crowd rose to their feet as Leonardo Tepedino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Renatinho Paraibano. That made the score 1-1 in the 29 minute of play. Renatinho Paraibano stood somewhat misplaced when Leonardo Tepedino came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 34 minute. When Alberto Cosme came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Pontal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Cosme couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto Lara in the 43rd minute of play forced Emboracica AD's goalkeeper Albertino Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Cosme made a kick off. Alberto Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Costa having to interfere. Valdir Campidelis charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdir Campidelis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Beto Lara got free with Albertino Costa in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Beto Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pontal's supporters rose to their feet, but Beto Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albertino Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonardo Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Pontal getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Betinho de Lara hit a great ball. Valdir Campidelis struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Renatinho Paraibano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Emboracica AD. In the 69thth minute of the game Alberto Cosme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Emboracica AD's Albertino Costa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Alberto Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pontal's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Cosme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albertino Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albertino Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Cosme in the 73rd minute of play. A collision led to Emboracica AD getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Luís Eduardo Dracena hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Pontal defense, Joaquim Bertassi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Renatinho Paraibano. The Pontal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Renatinho Paraibano should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Pontal getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Raí Paraíba hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Emboracica AD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pontal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
