Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Davi Nóbrega started the match with the kick off. Ademar Tróia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of William Costa's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. A collision led to Emilio SC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Sílvio Luís Borges hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, Emilio SC's goal looked a bit too open when Davi Nóbrega came free, but Ademar Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes in the game, Renato Lira fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Virgílio Prestes having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Afonso Britto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Emilio SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cuite the free kick. After a rather tough play, Emilio SC's Afonso Britto got a free kick in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cuite's zone, Afonso Britto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgílio Prestes came out of the goal and Afonso Britto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Davi Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ademar Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Cuite getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Vitório Pirani hit a great ball. Renato Lira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Virgílio Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 53rd minute, William Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cuite fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Virgílio Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 65th minute, Renato Lira made a precise shot to the right of Virgílio Prestes. Cuite's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davi Nóbrega in the 76th minute of play forced Emilio SC's goalkeeper Ademar Tróia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cuite booed when Emilio SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Emilio SC's goalkeeper Ademar Tróia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 80th match minute, Emilio SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Gabriel Guerra to maneuver through the defense. Virgílio Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Lira in the 83rd minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
