In the 18thth minute of the game Telmo Prata who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xanxere's Gilberto Bertassi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alfredão Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléberson Dante having to interfere. Oséas Faustino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Gilberto Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Eriberto França came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Xanxere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eriberto França couldn't finish the play. Waldemar Quintal kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd match minute, Delfino EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexsandro Fantini to maneuver through the defense. Kléberson Dante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celsinho Barbosa in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Delfino EC's goalkeeper Kléberson Dante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eriberto França. When Telmo Prata came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Delfino EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Telmo Prata couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the game, Delfino EC's Oséas Faustino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilberto Bertassi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Telmo Prata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Luiz Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Telmo Pratas short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Gilberto Bertassi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Delfino EC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Delfino EC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
