In the 16th minute, Geraldo Massa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Taguaracu AD's Alan do Valle didn't even have to move. After 17 played minutes Taguaracu AD got a freekick which was hit by Pedrão Teixeira. Sandrinho Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan do Valle having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Taguaracu AD's goalkeeper Alan do Valle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Cavalcante. After 29 minutes, Eusébio Lira made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Chupeta AD's Elói Arósio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Elói Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráuzio Santos in the 32nd minute of play. Eusébio Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
