Taguaracu AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Carlos Eduardo Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Jaguaquara's Fiori Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Santos in the 21st minute of play. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Eusébio Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonel Vides made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Taguaracu AD's zone, Leonel Vides stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alan do Valle came out of the goal and Leonel Vides tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Taguaracu AD's Alan do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Vides in the 56th minute of play. The supporters of Jaguaquara booed when Taguaracu AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dionísio Cosmes short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Alan do Valle to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eusébio Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Fiori Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Leonel Vides reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alan do Valle. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 80th minute, Dráuzio Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Eusébio Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Eusébio Lira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fiori Prestes was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Dionísio Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jaguaquara players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Taguaracu AD.
