Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Luizão Fantini took the kick off in the first half of the match. 0-1 became the score in the 4th minute when Matheus de Mendonça elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Matoes's Matheus de Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Valle during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th minute, Jorge Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enio Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugênio Paraibano having to interfere. When Macaroca AD's Luizão Fantini in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Matoes's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Matoes getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Jorge Valle hit a great ball. In the 24th minute Matheus de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tião da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Matoes's Giovanni Ramos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tião da Silva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Matheus de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luizão Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugênio Paraibano having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matheus de Mendonça to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th match minute, Matoes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Leme to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute Luizão Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugênio Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Macaroca AD's Richard Vidal got a free kick in the 66th minute. Eugênio Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizão Fantini in the 69th minute of play. If Luizão Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute Enio Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugênio Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugênio Paraibano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enio Guedes's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Jorge Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. When Macaroca AD's Luizão Fantini in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Matoes's goalie prevented a goal. Abel Leme charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Leme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 84 played minutes Matoes got a freekick which was hit by Abel Leme. After having played for 87 minutes, Luizão Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macaroca AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luizão Fantini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute Enio Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugênio Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd match minute, Matoes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Valle to maneuver through the defense. Giovanni Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Matoes supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Matoes would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
