Vitinho de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Vitinho de Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Itapetingui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitinho de Azevedo couldn't finish the play. Pedro Severo might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vinícius Pena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Severo ran back to his position shaking his head. Vinícius Pena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitinho de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Itapetingui's Nico Mumbach got control of the ball when Gustavo Teles tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Gustavo Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Itapetingui's Vitinho de Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitinho de Azevedo in the 43rd minute of play forced Cerobas's goalkeeper Vinícius Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vitinho de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Cerobas's Vinícius Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Severo in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute Gustavo Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico Mumbach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Zé Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cerobas's Gustavo Teles got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cerobas had won after a very even match.
