Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Atoleiro's Valério Paiva started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Edmílson Saldanha fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibicui AD's protests and gave Edmílson Saldanha a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ibicui AD getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Edmílson Saldanha hit a great ball. Valdemar Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zézinho Lopes having to interfere. Zézinho Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valério Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Christian Penha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Ibicui AD booed when Atoleiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio de Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The wind increased when Norberto Leite made the kick off in the second half. If Norberto Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Valério Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zézinho Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zézinho Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar Quadros in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Custódio Queirós was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ibicui AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atoleiro the free kick. Custódio Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Eusébio de Barros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zézinho Lopes. Ibicui AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ibicui AD reached it. After 73 played minutes Atoleiro got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio de Senna. The corner ended in Wágner Miranda almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atoleiro's Christian Penha did a great save. Eliseu Paraibano struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Christian Penha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibicui AD. Norberto Leite blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Penha having to make a save. In the 87th minute, Edgard Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute of the match Wágner Miranda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Penha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Christian Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Leite in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Atoleiro's goalkeeper Christian Penha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christian Penha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliseu Paraibano went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ibicui AD had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
