Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Valério Paiva made the kick off which started today's match. Atoleiro's Christian Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Almeida in the 3rd minute of play. Rafa Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 5th minute Alessandro Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Penha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sérgio de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdemar Quadros got free with Cristóvão Soeiro in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With 17 minutes on the clock, Célio Recife commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 19 minutes of play, Maroins's Víktor Diniz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Penha was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedrão Velloso during the 23rd minute. With a little luck, Maroins's Cristóvão Soeiro got control of the ball when Valdemar Quadros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedrão Velloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Atoleiro's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Augusto Sá came free, but Christian Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Atoleiro players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maroins were winning 0-1.
After 52 minutes of play, Maroins's Leandro Almeida made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 89th match minute, Maroins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráusio Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Atoleiro's Valdemar Quadros got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Maroins players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
