Túlio de Mendonça hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. If Haroldo Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. Zezito:s Elano Dracena showed great skill when he stopped Horácio Vergílio:s penalty. 29 minutes into the match, Zezito's goal looked a bit too open when Túlio de Mendonça came free, but Elano Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Ribeiro was a little too slow when Haroldo Tinoco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 42nd match minute, Zezito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Botelho to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Ribeiro was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Haroldo Tinoco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Haroldo Tinoco really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Túlio de Mendonça made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Dário Alves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Zezito's Elano Dracena got control of the ball when Albertino Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Gitirana SC's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Tinoco came free, but Gabriel Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albertino Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Elano Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Dário Alves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 76 played minutes Gitirana SC got a freekick which was hit by Fernando de Amorim. Elano Dracena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Túlio de Mendonça went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When Vítor Botelho fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zezito's protests and gave Vítor Botelho a yellow card for diving instead. Vítor Botelho hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. When Albertino Lima, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 86 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Elano Dracena was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Gitirana SC's Túlio de Mendonça dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. If Albertino Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gitirana SC played a much better game than Zezito and deserved their victory. The Zezito players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
