Alessandro Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelinho Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Aleandro Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giovani Lopes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Aleandro Ferreira made a huge save. Leonel Mattos charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonel Mattos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Caraparu fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! Enrique Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Horácio Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giovani Lopes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Aleandro Ferreira made a huge save. Guadrapas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcel Teixeira in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute of the match Marcel Teixeira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Horácio Tepedino skillfully saved the ball. After 28 played minutes Caraparu got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Dias. 29 minutes into the match, Caraparu's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Figueiredo came free, but Horácio Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31 minutes, Donatello Severo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caraparu and the Guadrapas players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Caraparu getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Donatello Severo hit a great ball. Enrique Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giovani Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Giovani Lopes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aleandro Ferreira. Guadrapas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giovani Lopes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Aleandro Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelinho Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 47th minute of the match Caetano Dias completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Caetano Dias a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 48th minute, Caetano Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enrique Figueiredo took the ball and in the 49 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horácio Tepedino. Horácio Tepedino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 60 played minutes Guadrapas got a freekick which was hit by Mazinho Valladares. Donatello Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Aleandro Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alessandro Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Horácio Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egídio Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horácio Tepedino having to interfere. Alessandro Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Egídio Silva fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Enrique Figueiredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Horácio Tepedino made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Caraparu's zone, Enrique Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horácio Tepedino came out of the goal and Enrique Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Giovani Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the game, Caraparu's Giovani Lopes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aleandro Ferreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 95 minutes into the match, Egídio Silva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horácio Tepedino. Caraparu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Egídio Silva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Horácio Tepedino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egídio Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 100th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Guadrapas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
