Doriva Ribeiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Roger Fernandes came out and tried to block the shot, but Doriva Ribeiro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 2nd minute. Zé Roberto Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Gualter Quirino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Doriva Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Orlando Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Facao's zone, Doriva Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Fernandes came out of the goal and Doriva Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Doriva Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roger Fernandes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doriva Ribeiro's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. In the 37th minute, Alfredo Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Crimea EC's Doriva Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Doriva Ribeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Murilo de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Murilo de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Roger Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Murilo de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Facao's goalkeeper Roger Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 60 minutes into the game, one of Facao:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 67th minute, Murilo de Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gualter Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Dracena having to interfere. If Gualter Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Doriva Ribeiro fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crimea EC's protests and gave Doriva Ribeiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st match minute, Crimea EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doriva Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. Gualter Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 84 minutes, Luiz Fabiano Linhares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crimea EC and the Facao players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Facao booed when Crimea EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Murilo de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Gláuber Bittencourt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Facao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crimea EC the free kick. The supporters of Crimea EC booed when Facao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doriva Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gláuber Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Dracena having to interfere. Marco Dracena was a little too slow when Gláuber Bittencourt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 2-1.
