Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Amianto's Vitório Romero started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Paulo Couto in the 3rd minute of play forced Amianto's goalkeeper Vivaldo Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Amianto getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Ramiro de Senna hit a great ball. After 5 minutes, Tomás Luz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Amianto and the Fructuoso EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th minute, Tomás Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Vitório Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Fructuoso EC's goal looked a bit too open when Vitório Romero came free, but Falcão Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adhemar Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Luís Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Gomes having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Adhemar Quintal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fructuoso EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Vivaldo Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhemar Quintal in the 29th minute of play. Victor de Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Vitório Romero took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Falcão Gomes to make any attempt to save it. Vitório Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the game, Pedro Luís Moreno recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Falcão Gomes. Pedro Luís Moreno showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adhemar Quintal was the one to do the kick off. José Paulo Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Maia having to interfere. When Andrézinho Paiva fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amianto's protests and gave Andrézinho Paiva a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Amianto getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Andrézinho Paiva hit a great ball. Falcão Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luís Moreno in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Pedro Luís Moreno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amianto's Vivaldo Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulisses Barral in the 62nd minute of play. Vitório Romero scored 3-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Falcão Gomes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Falcão Gomes came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Amianto's Pedro Luís Moreno. But to his dismay, Pedro Luís Moreno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. 72 minutes into the match, Vitório Romero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Falcão Gomes. Fructuoso EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vitório Romero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. When Pedro Luís Moreno came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Amianto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Luís Moreno couldn't finish the play. Luiz Fábio Bezerra's late challenge caught a Amianto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Fábio Bezerra helped the player get up and apologised. Jonas Ramalho was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 78th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Vitório Romero put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Falcão Gomes. Falcão Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís Moreno in the 88th minute of the match. Fructuoso EC's Falcão Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitório Romero in the 89th minute of play. When Amianto's Vitório Romero in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fructuoso EC's goalie prevented a goal.
