Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Tapereba's Wilson Saldanha started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wilson Saldanha struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Celsinho Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tapereba. When Gino Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Albinopolis's protests and gave Gino Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. Gino Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Walmyr Seco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Wilson Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilson Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 41st minute, William Proença ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celsinho Lima was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. William Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celsinho Lima having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Cléberson Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Tapereba were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Aguiar to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Albinopolis's Celsinho Lima got control of the ball when William Proença tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd play minute William Proença came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Celsinho Lima. 0-3. The supporters of Albinopolis booed when Tapereba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betão Mello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albinopolis's Celsinho Lima proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Albinopolis from getting a goal against them. Gino Dantas might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walmyr Seco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gino Dantas ran back to his position shaking his head. Frank Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walmyr Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Aguiar in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Frank Aguiar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Walmyr Seco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tapereba's Walmyr Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Aguiar in the 86th minute of play. Gino Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Albinopolis's Frank Aguiar in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tapereba's goalie prevented a goal. 91 minutes into the match, Gino Dantas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Walmyr Seco. Tapereba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gino Dantas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Wilson Saldanha might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celsinho Lima. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilson Saldanha ran back to his position shaking his head. Tapereba's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
