In the 21st minute, Frédson Ribeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frédson Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gláuber Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breno Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bombinhas's Breno Mesquita got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antônio Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antônio Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frédson Ribeiro made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Oliveira in the 66th minute of play forced Bombinhas's goalkeeper Tadeu Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 minutes, Sílvio Eger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vertentes FC and the Bombinhas players grew even worse after the yellow card.
