Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Edvaldo Nascimento got the match started through his kick off. Dorival Paulista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmílson Macedo in the 3rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cayambe SC's zone, Edvaldo Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorival Paulista came out of the goal and Edvaldo Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dorival Paulista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvaldo Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute, Erivaldo Braga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nilson Lucas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Nilson Lucas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leopoldo Paiva in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the game, one of Geolandia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Geolandia's Nilson Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Jacinto in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Geolandia's Edvaldo Nascimento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dorival Paulista narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leopoldo Paiva got free with Nilson Lucas in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmílson Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Dorival Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmílson Macedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dorival Paulista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Leopoldo Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Nilson Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilson Jacinto made a kick off. Cayambe SC were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Geolandia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fábio Monteiro took the corner. When Baltazar Correia fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cayambe SC's protests and gave Baltazar Correia a yellow card for diving instead. Baltazar Correia hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Dorival Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvaldo Nascimento in the 56th minute of play. Edmílson Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Dorival Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Doni Valladares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Geolandia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cayambe SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Geolandia's Doni Valladares got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Wilson Jacinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Geolandia's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Paiva came free, but Nilson Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geolandia's Edmílson Macedo got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
