Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fernando Correia kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute, Waldemar Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Paulo Renato Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elói Seco got free with Rogério Marinho in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute Paulão Mumbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Guilherme Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elói Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Ubatuba's Rogério Marinho got control of the ball when Elói Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Penasco EC's Paulo Renato Nóbrega got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Décio Recife hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Luís Guilherme Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulão Mumbach, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Rogério Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Nóbrega in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute Paulão Mumbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Guilherme Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Penasco EC's Paulo Renato Nóbrega got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Elói Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Ubatuba were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Renato Nóbrega to make the kick off. Ubatuba's Rogério Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Renato Nóbrega in the 60th minute of play. Penasco EC's Elói Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ubatuba's Rogério Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói Seco in the 71st minute of play. Elói Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 76 minutes in the game, Paulão Mumbach dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Fernando Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Luís Guilherme Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulão Mumbach's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Luís Guilherme Maia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Penasco EC's Leopoldo Madureira got a free kick in the 85th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elói Seco in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogério Marinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paulo Renato Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Marinho having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
