Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pedrão Mendonça took the kick off in the first half of the match. Caco Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tostão Tepedino in the 3rd minute of the match. After 4 minutes, Jairo Viana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palheta EC and the Macauba SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jairo Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the game, Rubinho Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palheta EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Macauba SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Palheta EC's Rubinho Cruz got a free kick in the 9th minute. Pedrão Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 played minutes Macauba SC got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Tepedino. After a rather tough play, Macauba SC's Gilvan Zilles got a free kick in the 17th minute. Pedrão Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Breno Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Macauba SC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Gilvan Zilles hit a great ball. Macauba SC's Breno Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrão Mendonça in the 28th minute of play. Jeferson de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caco Quirino having to interfere. Kléberson Zilles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caco Quirino having to interfere. Caco Quirino was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rubinho Ramalho. If Pedrão Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeferson de Amaral made a kick off. The supporters of Macauba SC booed when Palheta EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizão Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caco Quirino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kléberson Zilles went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Pedrão Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Catarinense having to interfere. Luizão Mandrak kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Macauba SC's Kléberson Zilles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caco Quirino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palheta EC's goalkeeper Caco Quirino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute Pedrão Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breno Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeferson de Amaral in the 92nd minute of play forced Palheta EC's goalkeeper Caco Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breno Catarinense came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Palheta EC's Serginho Barbosa. But to his dismay, Serginho Barbosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
