The audience thought a goal was coming when Manolo Tande got free with Breno Catarinense in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Dário da Mata came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Tuiuiu SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dário da Mata couldn't finish the play. Kléberson Zilles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jano Correia hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléberson Zilles in the 19th minute of play forced Tuiuiu SC's goalkeeper Hamílton Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Manolo Tande kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Breno Catarinense. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. Hamílton Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Manolo Tande, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 27 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Breno Catarinense was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Macauba SC's goalkeeper Breno Catarinense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dário da Mata. Breno Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manolo Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The supporters of Tuiuiu SC booed when Macauba SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tostão Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeferson de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamílton Proença having to interfere. Kléberson Zilles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Macauba SC's zone, Manolo Tande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Breno Catarinense came out of the goal and Manolo Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The supporters of Tuiuiu SC booed when Macauba SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zézinho Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manolo Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Breno Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 55 minutes, Jeferson de Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macauba SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeferson de Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dário da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 73 minutes, Dário da Mata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tuiuiu SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dário da Mata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Breno Catarinense came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Tuiuiu SC's Dário da Mata. But to his dismay, Dário da Mata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Hamílton Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeferson de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. If Jeferson de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hamílton Proença made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Kléberson Zilles sent off a good shot on target. Kléberson Zilles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hamílton Proença having to make a save. 96 minutes in the game, Jeferson de Amaral fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hamílton Proença having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Macauba SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tuiuiu SC.
