After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Mathias Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tamboril's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias Viana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Toscano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 12 minutes, Anísio Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hibiraiaras and the Tamboril players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Anísio Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nildo Coutinho was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 13th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erivaldo Lucas hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Anísio Andrade came free in the 55th minute and tried to tip the ball over Baltazar de Sena, but to the joy of Tamboril's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. With a couple of smart ball manuevers César Prestes in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Toscano saved Hibiraiaras from getting behind. 63 minutes into the match, Tamboril's César Prestes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armando Toscano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 70th minute of the match, Alfredão Mota got a very nice opportunity to score, but Baltazar de Sena was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Armando Toscano came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Tamboril's Mathias Viana. But to his dismay, Mathias Viana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Baltazar de Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Josué Brasil during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th match minute, Hibiraiaras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josué Brasil to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Hibiraiaras getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Cipriano do Nascimento hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias Viana in the 91st minute of play forced Hibiraiaras's goalkeeper Armando Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cipriano do Nascimento charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cipriano do Nascimento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tamboril booed when Hibiraiaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano do Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hibiraiaras's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
